1. Flame Retardants: auxiliaries that can prevent materials from igniting or inhibiting flame propagation.
According to the usage method, it can be divided into two categories: additive type and reactive type.
According to chemical structure, they are divided into two types: inorganic and organic, and halogen and phosphorus are mostly contained in these compounds.
The flame retardancy effect of 2. inhibitor
(1) endothermic: Borax and hydrated alumina are heated and dehydrated to produce endothermic effect.
(2) covering effect: the effect of isolating air from materials such as phosphates and fire-retardant foam coatings.
(3) dilution effect: flammable gases and oxygen in air are diluted. CO2, NH3, HCl and H2O can be used as diluent gases. This kind of noncombustible gas can be produced when the amine phosphate, amine chloride and carbonate amine are heated.
(4) transfer effect: its function is to change the mode of thermal decomposition of polymer materials.
(5) inhibition effect (capture free radicals): the combustion of polymers is mainly free radical chain reaction, and the commonly used bromine, chlorine and other organic halogen compounds have this inhibitory effect.
(6) enhancement effect (synergistic effect): some materials, if used alone without flame retardancy effect or flame retardant effect, can be used to enhance the effect of flame retardancy. The most typical example is the combination of three oxidation of two antimony and halogen compounds.
3, several typical flame retardants
(1) halogen flame retardant
(2) phosphorus and phosphorus compounds
(3) the flame retardant mechanism of Inorganic Flame Retardants: aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, expanded graphite, borate, aluminum oxalate and zinc sulfide.
(4) mixed flame retardants
(5) intumescent flame retardant: intumescent flame retardant system can be divided into three parts: acid source, carbon source and gas source.
(6) ammonium salt flame retardants
(7) nanocomposite flame retardants
(8) organosilicon flame retardant
