Product introduction
Aluminum hydroxide is a white powder, which has the characteristics of non-toxic, tasteless, good dispersibility, high whiteness and low iron content. Aluminum hydroxide has three functions: flame retardancy, smoke elimination and filling. It has no two times pollution during combustion. It does not produce toxic and corrosive gas when it burns. It also absorbs and releases water vapor. It has flame retardant and self extinguishing performance. It has good dispersion and is easy to produce synergistic effect with other additives, and has antistatic function. It can enhance the strength and toughness of polymers.
The active ATH is halogen-free, smoke suppression, non corrosion and high thermal stability flame retardant, white liquid powder, insoluble in water, acid or alkali decomposition. Activation through special processing of ATH, EVA, LDPE, LLDPE used for flame retardant cable material (coating layer and the insulating layer), also used for flame retardant PP and thermosetting polymers (such as unsaturated polyester, epoxy resin), flame retardant filler made of synthetic rubber and other polymeric materials, it can greatly improve the resistance and flame retardant products arc resistance, traces of.

Principle of flame retardant:
Aluminum hydroxide is decomposed by heat dehydration, and the amount of heat absorbs up to 1967.2J/kg, which can effectively inhibit the heating and thermal degradation of the polymer. A large amount of water vapor can be released by ATH decomposition to dilute the combustible gas and inhibit the spread of combustion. The tightly packed double layer crystal structure of aluminum hydroxide can capture the hydroxyl radical that triggering the combustion of the polymer and cut off the chain reaction. After ATH dehydration, high temperature resistant and dense Al2O3 protective film is formed on the surface of the polymer to prevent the air from spreading. High temperature resistant and dense Al2O3 protection film can also promote the carbonization of polymer, adsorb solid particles and inhibit the production of thick smoke.


Application areas:
1, aluminum hydroxide can prevent smoking, do not produce drops, do not produce toxic gases, easily decompose in strong alkali and strong acid solution, decompose and dehydrate into alumina by heating. It is suitable for molding materials, rubber and plastic foams, thermosetting plastics, thermoplastics, synthetic rubber, coatings, FRP, resins, electronics, ceramics, glass products, etc.
2, the active aluminum hydroxide is modified by many additives and coupling agents. It has high fineness, narrow particle size distribution, good flame-retardant effect, high whiteness and low bulk density, and can increase the addition amount.
