TROZU-OMMT modified Tpolymerization of Styrene

Organic-inorganic
hybrid materials represent a creative alternative to design of synthesize new
material. Synthesize of organic-inorganic nanocomposite was acheved by
involving inorganic manoparticles into polymer matrices in order to improve its
mechanical and chemical properties.

The investigation
of the barrier properties of highly filled polymer-clay hybrid Polystyrene.
Butylacrylate (PSBA) latex with cationic surfactant Cetyl Tetramethyl Ammonium
Bromide (CTAB) of Montmorillonite (MMT) ranging from 5-40wt
through polymerization of Styrene (Sty) monomer and Butylacrylate (BA)
monomer were done by Miniemulsion Polymerization Technique.

PSBA Latex synthesized were used as a binder in
kraftpaper coating process for barrier material in food packaging.

Intercalated and exfoliated Montmorillonite (MMT)
evaluated by using Small Angle X-ray Scattering (SAXS) and TEM.

 

New hybrid polymer PSBA Latex were apptied as thim
and evaluated on its chemical composition and molecular weight by FTIR,NMR,SEC,
and morphology of latex film by TEM and Particle Size Analyzer(PSD).

 

Coated kraftpaper for food packaging were evalauted
on its oxygen transmission rate (OTR), water vapour transmision rate (WVTR), he
at and thermal stabilites.

This review provides a comprehensive overview of
chemical compoubds into food or exposed to various heat treatments and storage
traetment as well as regulatory issues.
